"Plague Doctors" is a conceptual illustration contrasting the knowledge and necessity of PPEs of the 16th and 21st centuries. The artwork was traditionally completed with black Prismacolor pencil on coquille paper.
"Life On The Rocks" is a field sketch that encompasses the local beauty of Asilomar Beach and its native occupants by tidal zone.
"The Amazing Monarch Butterfly" captures the complex story of life cycle, migration, and emergence by latitude in one visual. The monarch assets were done in watercolor and final assembly was completed in InDesign. It is part of the permanent collection of The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.
"The Creation of Maize" is a botanical concept that connects the ancient Mayan creation tradition of teosinte to today's hybrid corn and its industrial applications.
"Our Ancient Hands" compares the evolutionary pressures that shaped the hands of humans and of our nearest primate relative - after the divergence from our last common ancestor.
"Proprioception" visually demonstrates the inner mechanism of the cochlea as the head tilts. The illustration was rendered in Photoshop, and assembled in Illustrator.
