The cardiac anatomical cross section was painted in Photoshop from an original pen and ink drawing.
The water bear was painted entirely in Photoshop with customized brushes, set against a personal photo with layers of brushwork of varying opacities.
This vector-drawn scarab beetle was completed entirely in Illustrator, for a more whimsical and accessible style; perfect for text book illustrations, childrens books and interpretive panels for elementary school audiences.

Anabelle and Calf is a livestock portrait of an Oregon rancher's "pair", a Corriente cow and her calf, in pasture. The illustration actual ranch view shows the Oregon Cascade Mountains in the distance. This artwork was completed entirely in Photoshop, rendered in black and white for the look of pen and ink.
These Forget Me Nots were completed in Photoshop, using the 'lasso tool' and paint bucket' throughout the flower - for a contrast of texture against the smoothly blended leaves.
The "Calla Lily" botanical plate was completely rendered in Photoshop.
